Hi,
I would like to restrict users to only using red font in some cells. I wish them to be free to amend data contained in these cells.
Try using conditional formatting to apply a red font to a common criteria on those cells, maybe =LEN(A1) as a rule formula.
Hi Jason that is a clever idea but unfortunately we are already using 3 conditional formulas and the silly limit won't allow any more. Aware we can increase this limit with some vba code but would prefer a "simpler" option if anyone could provide one? Thanks!
Something I didn't think of before, you could try changing the cell format to custom, for example,
[red]General
Although I don't know if this method will work with excel 2003.
Beyond that I think it's vba or upgrade time![]()
It works fine, thanks Jason.
