    Inserting symbols into cells

    Hi,

I'm new to this forum, and relatively new to formulas and macros.

I have a 7,000 row spreadsheet of contact details. I am trying to insert a wingding character into a cell that contains other fonts so that (m) 07909 becomes (symbol) 07909. I can do this manually obviously, but when I try and automate it, or use the replace function it won't just change a single letter, but the entire cell.

    Any ideas?

How do you try to automate it?

    Maybe just try

    ="your symbol"& your formula
