Define current price as a % based on a high / Low price

    Hi there,

No doubt this is a simple one for many......I require a formula the following:

    I have 3 prices: e.g.
    Last 1.25
    High 1.50
    Low 1.00

Any body have an idea what formula is used to display as a % the Last price (1.25) in relation to the range between the high (1.50) and low (1.00) price?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Adam

    Hi Helpbitte,

I think you need to expain more as " in relation to the range between the high (1.50) and low (1.00) price" is not very clear.

If possible please upload sample data with desired output.

    Thanks

    Hi kbkumar,

    Thanks for the reply.
Attached is a spreadsheet with a simple set of values.
I need Column D "H/L%" to reflect a value whereby the number in column A is a percentage of the range in column B minue column C.

I hope that is makes sense.

    Thanks again,

    Adam

Use the below in D3 and below:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

And then custom format column D to %ages.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your time.

Unless I am doing something wrong, i am not getting the desired result. It could be that i was not clear enough. It is doing me head in.

I have done a manual overview of what i am ultimately wanting to achieve (the grey columns in the attached spreadsheet)

Apologies if i was not clear enough before.

    I appreciate your help.

    Does this work?

    Formula: copy to clipboard

Custom format cell containing this formula to %age.
