displaying numbers whoes average is as close prefered average.

Hi there.

I have designed a spreadsheet which sorts a list of numbers (manually input) into ranges and calculates the avearge for each group.

Theses are weights in grams.

In averaging these out I find that the average is sometimes more and sometimes less than I'd like.

The prefered average weights are: 1750g, 1500g, 1250g, 1000g, and 750g.

What I'd like is to be able to have a spreadsheet which picks from a list of numbers, as many numbers it can to get me as close to a predetermined average weight as possible. Starting with the highest average to the lowest average.

I hope you undersatnd this guys and someone can help me as I have been struggling with it for many weeks now.
