Question Keep new line in cell

    Hi,

Adding a new line in a cell is done by Alt+Enter, but when I reference a cell with text on two or more lines, the text is displayed on a single line.

How can I keep the formatting in the cell with reference to another? Is it possible?

    Example:
    Cell A1 contains
    "Hello
    World!"

    Cell B1 contains
    =A1
    displaying: "Hello World!"

Is there a way to keep the line break in cell B1?

    BR
    Daniel

Just turn on word-wrap for your destination cells (B1 in your example).

Don't forget to click the little star to the left of this post if you feel I helped!

Thanks both theExcelphile and Chris for your replies.

I will try your solution suggestions ASAP.

I foresaw that possibility to set the format of destination cells in advance, but of course that may be it. What I want is that this will work without having to set the format every time I enter something in the source. My Excel sheet contain a lot of information on one sheet and I wantto transfer it on the fly to another sheet which is more printer friendly.

I come back with result of my test.
