How do I get column U incorporated in the date range
Column U has profit/ loss values like 115, 140, 100
So I want formula to show what profit loss would be for the given date range

May be a workbook attachment would help...

U16:U10016 are where my values are in
So i need formula to get a sum of values in column U within the date range I put in
It has to be simple
Do any other column next to U16:U10016 having dates mentioning against such values?
If there are no dates against column U values, how excel or any one knows sum of values with in 'date range'. Can you upload your workbook to have a look.
Column B has the dates corresponding to the values in column U

Upload your workbook deleting unwanted data to reduce size.

Ok its column Q now I want calculated via a date range (B8 and B9)
Try this formula. You have date values in column B16 to B22 corresponding to data in column Q, that is what I was asking for.

Ok we are almost there
Say I want to start that column Q on row 16 instead of entire column..... because I have some other data in that column in 1-15
$Q:$Q to be replaced by $Q$16:$Q$65536 (or any end row number you want), column B cell address also to be changed accordingly
