    There are no numbers in A21:A61 which are greater than B10.

    you can rewrite this formula

    =AVERAGEIFS($B$21:$B$61,$A$21:$A$61,">="&$B$3,$A$21:$A$61,"<="&$D$3,$A$21:$A$61,">="&$D$47,$A$21:$A$61,"<="&$B$8,$A$21:$A$61,">="&$D$8,$A$21:$A$61,"<="&$B$9,$A$21:$A$61,">="&$B$10,$A$21:$A$61,"<="&$D$10)
    In this simple way

    =AVERAGEIFS($B$21:$B$61,$A$21:$A$61,">="& MAX($B$3,$D$47,$D$8,$B$10),$A$21:$A$61,"<="&MIN($D$3,$B$8,$B$9,$D$10))

    Understood. I have a main list that can be 25,000 entries and I just cut and pasted a few. If you need to take those out, that is fine. I just need to be able to take out the numbers in the array B8:D16. As we do our job, those numbers will be within the B3-D3 parameters.

    It is an oil rig and I need to get averages from the previous midnight depth to the current midnight depth. So the numbers will be within those parameters.

    Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as "SOLVED".
    For the meantime I'll do it for you.

    How?
    New quick method:

    Or you can use this way:

    How to mark a thread Solved
    Go to the first post

    Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
    Change to Solved

    Note:
    You can also thank those who have helped you by clicking the small star icon located in the lower left corner of the post in which the help was given.
