Elapsed time & Amount due

I'm giving the following data and I'm asked to:

Calculate the elapsed time, properly formatted and calculate the amount due, again properly formatted with the currency format option.
Hints: The elapsed time is displayed with a Custom made time format using: [h]:mm:ss in order to show the correct elapsed time.

I tried to simply subtract one cell from another but it doesn't work. I am a rookie with excel.
