Is the VLOOKUP or IF formula what I should use to find profits

    Hi,

I am trying to create a spreadsheet which calculates the final profit on each item that we sell in our eCommerce store. I've tried the IF and VLOOKUP functions, but did not achieve exactly what I was looking for (maybe I used these functions incorrectly).

The first page of my Worksheet is a Master Price list which includes the price we sell the item for, the price we buy the item for, and then 1 column has the final profit after all eBay & Paypal fees (for orders sold on ebay) and 1 column has the final profit after all PayPal fees (for orders sold on our website).

I would like the second sheet in my workbook to include the profit per item sold on a daily/monthly basis. So Sheet 2 is called October 2012 and has columns to include the freight costs (which would need to be deducted from the final profit on Sheet 1: Master Price list).

    I would like to:

    1. I have a column for SKU on Sheet 1 and Sheet 2 - Is there a way I can have a drop down menu in Sheet 2 which would include all the SKU's from Sheet 1? How would I achieve this?
    2. Is there a formula that I can use to pull the final profit from that SKU on Sheet 1 to display on Sheet 2?
    3. And to make things even more complicated with the formula in Step 2 above, is there a way if I specify on Sheet 2 if it's an Ebay sale that it would pull the profit from the ebay profit column on Sheet 1 and if it's a website Sale, it would pull the profit from the website profit column on Sheet 1?

I hope I haven't confused anyone and I'm hoping it all makes sense. If you have additional questions in order to fully understand what I'm looking to do, please ask!
