Return header column text if value in row below

Hi, 1st post ever so please accept my novice status..


I have a spreadsheet as per below:

I'm trying to get a formula to calculate the value in column I automatically and have tried using the MATCH/INDEX combination but unsuccessfully.
I2 shows the result I'm expecting.

Please can someone help?

Suggest posting the workbook rather than an image.

So if there are multiple changes in a row, what do you want to appear in columns R and S?

nothing required really as those are handled via a different exception process

Might be easiest to do this with a user defined function.

Please Login or Register  to view this content.

Open the VBA editor by hitting Alt F11.
Insert a new module with Insert - Module
Paste in the above function
Go back to the sheet by hitting Alt F11.

In a suitable cell, enter =GetChangedHeader(C2,E2,G2,I2,K2,M2,P2)

Remember to save the workbook as a macro enabled workbook .xlsm
