Searching for data in another sheet that match the conditions

    Hi

For example I must count how many objects from sheet 2 match A2 B2 and C2 from sheet 1 and put the count number in D2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Michael

Sounds as though you should be looking at COUNTIFS.

If that's not the case, please provide a sample workbook with some typical data.

For example i take first line name:cristine...years:3.....place:A. I must insert a fnction that looks in sheet 2 fot the same parameters cristine 3 A, and count how many they are in the count column. In this sample the result is 2. Next for michael 3 A :count=1
