    Computer Game Trading Calculator

    Hi there,

Currently playing Guildwars 2 and there is an in-game trading post where you can sell surplus equipment. You can also, if you can find the right niche, make money by buying low and selling higher.

I currently have an app that helps me with individual trades, but I don't have a way of tracking my purchases/sales and their values. In game currency is Gold, Silver, Copper. With 100 copper = 1 silver, 100 silver = 1 gold. All the trading values are broken into gold silver copper values and I'd like it to look the same in my tracker instead of trying to figure out the 'raw' copper values which I can get to work.

I've tried a few formula's and I can get them to work for smaller amounts (usually less than 10 or 20 gold), however my formulae aren’t scaling with the value of the purchase.

I've mainly been attempting to use MOD/ROUNDDOWN/TRUNC functions after calculating a total in copper and dividing as appropriate.

I've attached what I want the sheet to look like - would appreciate any assistance!

    Hello,

I am just getting around the forum and ran across your post. Do you resolve your issue? If not, lets discuss more details of what you want to do in terms of keying data.

I want to be able to key in the Gold silver and copper amount into the buy price columns, key in gold silver and copper into the listed sell columns.

The listing fee and sale fee apply to the amounts entered into the listed sell columns.

Profit, is listed sell less the fees & purchase amount

So if I buy an item for 1 silver 25 copper and then sell for 4 silver 20 copper what are the listing fees and what sale fees, and then what's the profit?

Got the fee side sorted out using these

    Gold
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Silver

    Copper

Will use the same for the Sale fee, now to work on the profit side.

Happy to look at suggestions if anyone has a more elegant solution.

Edit long description: I was building the profit formula by reversing some of the fucntions in the above formula's and it struck me that I only need the middle bit of the IF argument as follows
    Gold
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

    Silver
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

    Copper
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Not sure if the Copper formula is right (I'm at work and trying to remember).

    Good morning,

I am a long way from providing this type of formula so I will have to concede any formula's to Sunsoar for this one. I have never used TRUNC before and will learn it today so I look forward to learning more from you Sunsoar.... Thanks
