I am linking cell B10 to this file
    =('C:\Sales\2011 Budget\January\[Week1.xls]Monday'!C1)

If For example i typed in the location to this file in a Cell
    E1 (Hard-coded) C:\Sales\2011 Budget\January\Week1.xls

Is there a way to link B10 to the hard-coded link
    I tried = ('&E1&Monday'!C1) it didn't work

First make sure the target file is open and then try:

    =INDIRECT(E1 & "Monday!C1")

I cannot test this. You may need your single quotes.

Be aware that INDIRECT will not work if the source file is not open.

Yeah, I have to open the file for that to work.
Is that another function or do i need a macro ?
