    Lightbulb date time function

    =08/31/2012 23:53+"9:30"
    am getting result as #value!

    Mine is excel 2007

    Please help

    It appears that you are attempting to add a string value to number. Therefore an error message. Please clarify what you are attempting to do.

    I agree with Alan.

    Here are a couple of things you can look into:
    Date + Time in A1: =A1+TIME(9,30,0)
    or time in A2: =A1+A2
