Highlighting a row based on dates to show whether it has expired or is close to expiring

    Hello,

What i am looking to do is add some formatting to rows dependent on the current date.

when a date is up for renewal i would like it to highlight the row 7 weeks in advance (perhaps orange) and then change again the fill colour again to Red once the date has expired.

    attached is an example sheet.

    Thanks in advance.

I have actually just encountered an issue with this, see attached file.

what i believe is happening is using the date in Column expiry and Row 2 and a static date rather than taking the date from each individual rows date.

Although you set the CF up for cells A2:C11, your expressions referred first of all to C3, i.e. the cell below. Click on A2, then Conditional Formatting, then Manage rules, then select each in turn and click Edit Rule and change the $C3 to $C2 (twice), then click OK.

    Hope this helps.
