Hello Friends,
i want to write a formula using "vlookup" in cell F3, for the purpose to sum the "data" column if only contain the text including "tech" in it.
The result is 215 if i sum it manually.And the formula will involve LEFT and MATCH in it, i assume.
Please let me know if any clarification is needed. Thanks in advance…
PS: My excel version is 2007.
try
=SUMIF(B3:B14,"*tech*",C3:C14)

thank you vlady, that surely worked, but what i gave as as the example was the simplified version of my main problem, sumif surely works but i would really appreciate if you advise me a formula that includes "vlookup" with maybe match or left functions.
but thanks anyway..
