How to count the total per day for one team member

Dear all,

I have trouble comming up with a formula that would do the following:
There is one workbook that has 2 sheets. the first sheet is where you find the totals and the second sheet is where the data is.
It should look in sheet 2 and then check based on name and date the amount for that day.
So if as in the example attached Peter was the one doing 12 that day, it should appear the amount on that name in sheet 1.
If the next day Paula would do 24, then it will put 24 on her name based on the date in cell C2.

I hope some one can help out.
