Seperating a Master sheet into two worksheets defined by a catagory assigned to each row

    Hi there,

I have a Mastersheet with each row categorized as either 'C' or 'D'. I would like two worksheets for each category. One for rows categorized as 'C' and one for rows categorized as 'D'.

The Mastersheet will be updated on a daily basis. Rows will be deleted throughout as jobs are completed, but rows will only be added to the bottom of the page.

Here is a sample of the worksheet.

    Thank you!

    Julie

This is a pretty big request in one chunk. I'm sure you'll get better response if you break down your question into several parts, so that they can be tackled one after the other.

Also, we're happy to help you with your effort, but nobody here will be keen on developing a solution from scratch. This forum is about helping people learn how to use Excel, not a free development service.

Have you started any work on this project yet?
    How far did you get?
    Where are you stuck?

We can help you develop your own code, but if you want someone to code this for you all the way, you should try and find a commercial developer.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
You should start by recording a macro that does what you want for the two conditions and posting the code for help with making it more general/dynamic.

Hey! Thanks for replying. I have very limited experience with Excel so I was unaware how difficult this would be... I think a commercial developer will be the way to go as I have no idea what a Macro even is, hah. Cheers, thanks again!
