    Summary from two different columns

    Hello!

There are three employees with different user types, ab, ac and ad. We work sometimes alone and sometimes together, and therefore has different codes.
Ab and ac code 10, ab and ad code 11 and the ac and ad code 13

In column 1 I enter the username and in column 2 code.

Since ab and ac will enter the same code (10), when they work together, I want to be able to separate out and summarize the number of times ab and code 10 is present, but how?

It is a must that these codes are left, I can not just make new codes.

If the issue previously discussed, I apologize, and for help with reference to the topic.

    Grateful for help.

    Sincerely

    Anders

    Use COUNTIFS perhaps..

    =COUNTIFS(Column1,"ab"Column2,10)
    Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!

Re: Summary from two different columns

A big thanks for helping me out,
I did see that there is a missing comma after "ab".
In sweden, we use semi comma ";" instead of comma":" and in swedish "countifs" is "antal.omf".

    Again, thanks

    Best regards from me, Anders
