Countif using 2 sheets

I have created a spreadsheet in which one page is meant to be a dashboard of sorts. The problem I am experiencing is that I want to identify an element in one column and count the items matching it in another. For example:

Column A

January
January
February
February


Column B

Yes
No
Yes
no

I want a formula that will identify Febraury in column a and count the yes' in comun B. so The answer should be: 1. Hope this makes sense and that someone can assist me.

How about!

If your data is in A1:A4 in B1:

=IF(COUNTIF($A$1:A1,A1)=1,"Yes","No")

and drag down.
