lookup column for exact text

Good morning again, im back, something new for you too look at.

I have a cell (D2) with text of "ab001"
I wish to refrenece that cell to a whole list of of these usernames A1:A400
If it exists in the list say, "YES" sir, if it doesnt, say "NO" sir. Yes Or No

yes i know what your say doh thats easy lol, in my head yes it is, in a formula in excel no
I have tried Vlookup and Hlookup oh and lookup but no luck, i am hoping its not the same problem with the text i had before, but i dont think so.

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED.
