Formula to Colour a cell if criteria meet

    Hi

I work in a company where macros are not allowed and we are using Excel 2003.

I am finding a formula where I can colour a particular cell if it passes criteria.

Problem is I have 10 different colours.

Conditional formatting has limitation of 3 colours.

I will explain my problem as follows-
Column A has different asset codes.
If Asset Code = A then give colour red
If Asset Code = B then give colour yellow
If Asset Code = C then give colour blue
If Asset Code = D then give colour black
    etc

How to this using some formula, as I cannot use VB, macros and conditional formatting.

    Please help

    Salut,
with conditional formatting, you should use Rule type: "Use a formula to determine which cells to format".
you can colour cell with more different conditions...
