How do I average multiple rows in Excel7 ?
=average(select the rows)
ex
=average(1:1, 3:3)
Thank you Chicago; however I'm still confused.
Say I have a column of rows in Column E and another column of rows in Column G that I want to average in Columm N?
I've selected rows and tried to go to functions, but I have not met with success.
I appreciate your post, and ask your patience as I am not particularly IT-savvy ;-)
attach your file here. Ill have a better idea of what your looking at
in column N, in the cell you want to put the answer in, type this
=Average(
then select whatever cells that you want to average. Then type this
)
then press Enter
Still feeling like a knucklehead...it's not working
attach your file
Hello again, and thank you.
I've created a template, which I think I can cut and paste the colums into....I hope.
