Combining a text string with a concatenate function in the "value if true" field of an IF

Hello all....Using Excel 2007. getting close but can't quite get it.

I'm trying to combine a text string with the concatenate function for the "value if true" in an IF statement...Can't quite get it down

Example: If cell a1 contains certain text (I've got that part down) THEN return as the value of true the following: "PTC C/F" (CONCATENATE the strings in A2 and B2)

I can get it to return "PTC C/F", but it won't concatenate the other strings I want in there.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!
