Finding the sum of one Name on a large spreadsheet!

I have table that I need to look in another worksheet for a certain name, from that name it needs to add all the cells in a fixed row that are associated with the Name

JACK 8/6/2012 $340.43
ANGIE 7/6/2012 $243.45
KEVIN 7/12/2012 $249.50

This is what I would want - see how Jack from above is combined below

SUMIF Function maybe!
