I am trying to sort a list of records combined from two databases (see attached file) based on Common Drug Name, column C. However, it is not as simple as selecting all the data and sorting alphabetically by column C, because each cell in column C is a merged cell that comprises a unique number of rows, depending on the columns to the right (column D+).
I am willing to have each of the drug-specific rows combined into a single merged cell, e.g. merging J5-J26, if that would help. I am also willing to aggregate those rows into a single non-merged cell, with each internal row separated by carriage returns. I am not sure if these steps are necessary or how to carry them out.
The desired end result is for each record, highglighted by color in the attached file, to be sorted according to column C, so that duplicate records can quickly be identified. For example, the content in rows 5-26 is a single record that should appear directly above the content in rows 1333-1335.
I greatly appreciate any help with this. Thanks!
