I am trying to do something similar to a SUMIF formula, except instead of adding I want the formula to calculate the lower quartile.

My data looks a little bit as follows

Assigned salary range Actual salary Lower quartile
1 20,000
2 30,000
3 40,000
1 25,000
1 30,000
3 15,000
2 40,000
2 30,000
3 35,000

In the lower quartile column, I need a formula that looks up the assigned salary range in that row, then works out the lower quartile of the "actual salary" dataset where the assigned salary range is the same as the lookup. Does anyone have a suggestion for a formula?
