Question Transpose Horizontal to Vertical with ID Column

    Hi all,
The forum search bar gave me a little trouble so I apologize if this has been answered; feel free to link me to a thread. I feel like this should be fairly simple, and it was in SAS, yet I've found no indication of such an easy solution in Excel 2010. Here is my file:

    exceedbreed.xlsx

Each column header is a year. Each RTENO (route number, identifier in column A) has an observation per year. I would like to expand the table vertically such that there is a column for RTENO, Year and Exceed Temp (the data). RTENO would then be repeated in column 1 per each different value of year, and the cell value would be listed in that third Exceed Temp column. How is this done

    Thanks!

Hi galaxycoff and welcome to the forum,

This is a common question and I've written some VBA to convert your crosstab type table to a real excel table. See the attached that has the macro run on your data.
