countif and vlookup

I have names in column a, either correct or incorrect in columns b-h in sheet1. In sheet2, I want to summarize the data in sheet1. What I need is a formula that can look up a name in a cell in sheet 2, from column a in sheet 1, and count how many correct that person have in column b-h in sheet1. I tried using countifs and countif and vlookup but haven't had any luck. Any ideas?
