excel and word do not list themselves vertically on my computer

    Hi,

I had work done on my computer and am satisfied. I however noticed a change in both word and excel. Previoulsy when I opened multiple documents the titles appeared in a vertical coumn, titles only, in the middle of my computer AFTER several had run accross the bottom task bar they began to list themselves vertically. Now the titles only run on the bottom task bar, fill up and I have to open up, up and down arrowns to go back to previously opened spreadsheets or word docs! HELP!

Hi onenevadadollar and welcome to the forum,

This sounds like a windows setting. Right click on your task bar and select a different way to see your windows. I'm looking at the selections of:
    Cascade Windows
    Show Windows Stacked
    Show Windows Side by Side
    etc.

    Hope that is it.

thanks for the reply. I have already tried that! I understand what everybody says but it is only the yitles that I want to appear vertically, I do not want the whole spreadhseet (s) to cascade, just the titles.

    thanks,

    Sheldon

    Hi Sheldon,

I think I know what you talking about because I am the opposite of you . I like them all on the bottom no matter how many they are.

    1) Right click the taskbar
    2) Properties
    3) Check "Group similar taskbar buttons
    4) click on the OK button

    Hope this helps.
