return multiple similar data on multi variable search

Lets say I have a large baseball database with every players stats from every season for every year and every team on which he played and I want to extract to a worksheet (via a formula) all the stats for lets say one team from a given year but bring in all the stats each player had for the entire year even if that player played on other teams that same year. Not even sure if that was english but if you follow me can it be done?

Have you given any thought to using a Pivot Table. Since you are using EXCEL2010, you could also then employ slicers to your PT. No need to extract as you could sort and slice and dice as needed in a pivot table.

The whole idea is to extract from the table. If I take for example the 1969 Washington Senators and bring in every player that played on that team, the only stats I would get would be those from the 1969 Washington Senators even if several of the players played for other teams that same year. And as such, I could not then tally each players stats for the entire 1969 season. I believe, and I'm well willing to admit I might be wrong, such a desire would require some form or formula. The resultant extraction then needs to be used in another worksheet as well.

So if a player works for the 69 Senators and the 69 Yankees. You want to pull all data for all players for the full 69 season for the Senators. That would include the players stats for the 69 season with the Yankees. What happens when you do the same for the Yankees? Won't you have a duplicative information because you picked up the same player twice? Perhaps I am not understanding. How about an example with numbers. What you have and what the expected results should look like. Sometimes working with real or near real information is easier than trying to visualize what you are saying.

Yes that is exactly right, over however many teams the info will be repeated. I'm not worried about that now. There is another process after this that will handle that. As an example..

Searching for just players for 1921 SLA the output would be something like..

    shockur01 1921 SLA
    sislege01 1921 SLA
    smithea01 1921 SLA
    smithea01 1921 WS1
    sothoal01 1921 SLA
    sothoal01 1921 BOS
    sothoal01 1921 CLE
