Countif multiple ranges, same criteria

Please help, I know I am missing something simple in building the formula, but I need to add in two additional ranges in the formula below:

=COUNTIF(H6:H21,">0")

I have unsuccessfully tried a variety of tweaks to the formula to get the result I need. A smattering are below for your viewing pleasure:

=COUNTIF((H6:H21,H23,H33:H36),">0")

=COUNTIF((H6:H21)+(H23)+(H33:H36),">0")

=COUNTIF((H6:H21):(H23):(H33:H36),">0")

I'm sure there is an easy solution available, and I just don't know enough about the proper formula structure to find it, but I am still learning. I would appreciate any help offered!
