    Format Cells / Text Control

Hi: I am using a CSV worksheet. I type text into a MS Word 2003 document, then copy and paste it into one cell of the CSV worksheet. The cell shows that wrapping text is UNCHECKED before pasting. After I paste it, the cell format always shows that wrapping text is CHECKED. I'm trying to avoid having to go back in and uncheck it again. Any ideas.

Hi Wally, welcome to the forum.

What happens if - instead of pasting the data - you PasteSpecial by right-clicking on the cell and choose PasteSpecial > Text?

    Thanks for the welcome Paul.

If I do what you suggest, the entire entry appears. In other words, the text begins with the selected cell and then each line is displayed below it, taking up more and more rows. So, each line of text is entered in subsequent cells below it.

To prevent this from happening, I've been going to the formula line and pasting there. However, then I have to go back after every single paste and reformat each individual cell where I pasted the text to unwrap the text. Using Paste Special is not allowed in the formula line.

    Good idea though!
