(50.00) - (40.00) = (10.00) , A5-B5
50.00 - 40.00 = 10.00 , A6-B6

When you subtract a negative number it is equivalent to saying minus a minus. So subtracting a negative is the same as adding - just the way math works.
Negative - Positive = Negative
Positive - Negative = Positive + Positive = Positive
Negative - Negative = Negative + Positive = Use the sign of the larger number and subtract (Change double negatives to a positive)
