    Logic formulas

    Hi,

    (Please see attachment).
The first bordered area is the formula pattern I typed in manually to produce the second bordered area below.
I want to come up with a formula that could be pasted into an area of any size (say 10 rows deep (not including the first row)) that would effectively produce what the manual entry of formulas does. The pattern is easy to see, but is proving difficult to implement using only worksheet formulas.

Each formula must reference the column to the left, but based on the particular number in the cycle (the first row) the pattern forms..

I have tried using function such as offset etc but haven't so far come up with the solution.

    Any pointers

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Logic formulas

This is what I am trying to model but using worksheet functions only:-

Given a stack of n coins (represented by the column A), flip the top coin, then the stack of the top two coins, then the stack of the top three etc... starting again with the top coin after flipping all n coins. A flip of m coins reverses their order and inverts their state. This is the number of flips required to restore the stack to its original configuration.

It essentially boils down to the formulas I manually enter

    Re: Logic formulas

Try look this... This is slightly different from your input, but as I see your input is incosistent so this might be correct (doesn't have to be, just might).

If not, I don't see how to extend it to bigger range.

You can add in G column more TRUE/FALSE values below...
