Autofill A Column From Row Data

    Hello everyone,

I want to be able to autofill down a column using row data...

Is this possible? I've messed around with index, indirect, and lookups, but I can't seem to figure out how I would do this. If you do give me responses, I would appreciate an explanation, as I am new to the complicated formulas of excel.

I attached a sample of my data because I know my explanation is incomplete. I have a lot more data, so I wouldn't want to just copy and paste.

    Thanks in advance

mainly, the question is what exactly you're trying to accomplish. but, let's say that you're trying to use the bottom as inputs (i'll highlight these in a different color), and have all the individual cells use that as a reference, for autofilling.

for simplicity, i named the particular cells that i'd have to use in each section. i've named the main column as AA, next as BB, and final as CC. then, named the individual columns as well (may be just quicker for you to check the equation below --which is placed in cell B4, then drag the cell equats down -- with the block names in the spreadsheet attached)

where: chart is defined as the input cells (highlighted), AA is the first block, rows is the defined cell range of A28:A30, aaleads is the "SF Leads" under AA, and columns is defined range of B27:E27.

if anything, the goal with all the variables was to see if it would work properly for my test case. if this is what you're looking for that is. if so, and you have any more questions, i'll be happy to explain. if not, then, i don't mind re-evaluating the method.

Re: Autofill A Column From Row Data

Thank you for your help, but it isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I want the chart at the bottom to be the output. I want the input to be each row in AA, BB, and CC. For example, I want the TOTAL row transcribed down. So AA's TOTALS then BB's TOTALS, etc. (this is what I did in my box underneath my data).

    Thanks

Hi foxdb and welcome to the forum,

If you arrange your data differently and do a pivot table with a calculated field you can get the desired results. See the attached.

Thanks sooo much! kvsrinivasamurthy nailed it! That's exactly what I was looking for. But the pivot table would also work!

    Thanks again
