    filling in blank cells

My worksheet has cells that need to be filled with an ID. These ID's are provided just in one part of the group. Also, I have sorted them to where they are grouped where 1 is starting a segment and 0 are within a segment. The 1 and 0 column is different than the ID column. How do I come up with a script that tells me this.....

Start at 1 and if ID column has a value, copy each value to cells with 0 or 1 until next 1.

    example.

    1 (1234) has ID #
    0 (needs 1234)
    0 (needs 1234)
    0 (needs 1234)
    1 (1236)
1 (needs 1235) does not have ID #
    0 (1235)
    1

    Hi nbaylot

I for one am struggling to understand your data set. Are you able to post an example sheet so we can see?

    Best regards, Rob.

    Hi nbaylot33,

After 1236, you have written (needs 1235) - but in criteria it's mentioned that it should be copied against each cell with 0 or 1 until next 1 and as per this after 1236, 1236 should be filled in... I guess, a sample file would help the forum to understand better.

In my script example I only put if 1 has an ID. It should have said if any cell from 1 to next 1 has an ID copy all files from 1 to next 1. If that doesn't make sense I will provide an example worksheet.
