Forcing Automatic Links - Multiple Workbooks

I've got 3 workbooks showing same data in different formats - these are known for now as A, B and C. A is updated from B, and B is updated from C. If I update something in C and save it, then when I open B all is fine. However, if I update something in C and save it, and then open A it is not updating correctly, i.e. it is not forcing B to update so that A then updates. I can only get A to update correctly if I open up B first. Make sense? Can I force the updates to happen automatically some how, or does this need a macro/VBA to make this happen? If so how do I do this Any help very much appreciated!!!! (Excel 2007 is what I am using)
