    Vlookup & Hlookup Combination

    Hello

Just like what recently posted here, I need also help with a formula using Vlookup and Hlookup combination.I attached also sample spreadsheet of what I am trying to do.

    1. Look up the value in cell B1 in B13:B26.
    2. Look up the value in cell C3 in C11:Q11
    3. The value of the cell (also the comment in the cell, if possible) which fall to the Cells C1 and B1 will be copied or will be the value of C4.

Please see attached file to see my scenario.

Appreciate all the help. Giving representation in VBA also a great help. Thanks.

    Re: Vlookup & Hlookup Combination

The way to do this is with INDEX and MATCH; you can't combine V & H to do what you want.

However, this method does not carry comments along with it. If you need that, then you need VBA macros.
