    Running total reset by zero

I have a column of numbers. I need a running sum of the previous 7 rows unless there is a zero>then I need to restart at 0.
Anyone have an idea or direction to point me in? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Re: Maybe and Array?

Attach a sample file and show what results you expect to get.

Here is a test file cutter. Hope this gives you an idea.

Re: Running total reset by zero

Your sample file doesn't reflect what your original question asks.

The sample shows a decreasing value in col B based on adjacent value in col A. Is that what you want?

Also: in your sample you have a 70 in col B when there is a 0 in col A - but - you have a commented cell saying "Every time a "zero" is in column 1-column 2 equals a "zero."
Else it counts and sums column 1 not to exceed 70."

So what is it that you want?

Cutter-my preliminary look says this may work. It certainly put me on the right track. Thanks so much for the help.
