Pivot Table Not Updating

Hello everyone,


I have a small issue that has been bugging me (no punn intended). I have a pivot table with a data range that spans from Column A to column L. I inserted a new column into that range. Now in that inserted column are numerical values (e.g. 10050). The pivot table shows that the new column is in the fields list, the column heading is Margin. However after adding Margin to the data field, it's values are not shown specifically when I choose to "sum" .

Any suggestions on this?

Have you refreshed the pivot table? Can you upload a file with a few rows of sample data that shows the behaviour you describe?

@AnthonyWB, are the values in "Margin" being stored as text by any chance ?

To test, check the result of the following:

=COUNT(D:D)

where D:D should refer to the column containing Margin values - modify as nec. (incl. sheet reference if required)

If result of the above is 0 you will need to coerce the values first - TextToColumns for ex.
