converting numbers to words

Hi

I'm using this below to get a cell to look at another and convert to words:
however the cell that it is looking at says HH:MM eg(50:00) and all my function sees is 2.08 which is the value that i'd get if i changed that cell format to numbers rather than [HH]:MM
Any suggestions how i can make it look at at the required format?
