link scroll bar to excel chart

I am trying to link a srcollbar to an excel chart so I can srcoll through the data. I can't figure out how to link the scrollbar to a cell nor am I able to edit the properties of the scroll bar. Any assistance is appreciated. Example chart attached if needed. Thanks

Look at his example.
I believe you need to "Link a Cell" to your scroll bar before it does anything with your chart.
Grimace found that being in Design Mode and clicking or right clicking got him to the correct dialogue or property to solve his problem.

I think you need to right click your scroll bar and then Format Control. On this dialog pick the Control Tab and find Cell link: to set which cell on your sheet is effected by moving the bar controls.

That worked. I did the right-click and went into format control and added a linked cell to the scroll bar.

However, I still can't get into the properties of the scroll bar, even after adding a linked cell. I have turned on design mode but that doesn't work either. Is there another way to enter design mode to change properties. I'm using excel 2000 so not sure if properties is even available.

I just figured it out. I was using the scroll bar available for the "Forms" toolbar. I should have been using the scroll bar in the "Control Toolbox". There is no option to change the properties in the Forms toolbar. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks for the feedback on being the wrong toolbar control. I would never have thought of that.
