Royalty Costs: The publisher will need to pay a royalty to the author but this will depend upon sales. If sales are less than 2,000 then the royalty is 5% of the sales revenue. Between 2,000 and under 4,000, the royalty will be 7.5% of the sales revenue. For sales of 4,000 and over, the royalty rate will be 10% of the sales revenue.
Sales for first month are 3000
revenue for first month is 15000

=LOOKUP(A2,{0,2000,4000;5,7.5,10})%*B2

where sales figure is in A2 and revenue in B2
