trying to Format to total more than 24 hrs

hi again,
I need to add total hours for the fortnight but I'm not getting the correct answer if it goes more than 24 hrs.
I have tried custom formatting the cell to [h]:mm and [hh]:mm ,which have worked in a previous WkBk but doesn't work today e.g. a total of 29:30 hrs shows as 317.30. There must be a simple answer.

I have been slaving with this for a couple of hours and have found that it is incorrect fomatting in another Column that was causing the problem!
