    need help with a v lookup formula, just need it to be explained

    darkyam did this formula for me and it wont work on the new month... i tried to figure it out but was unsuccessful. can someone explain it a little bit more

    =IF(Sheet2!$A3="","",IF(AND(VLOOKUP($A3,Sheet1!$A$7:$G$224,4,0)<=("3/"&AG$2)+0,VLOOKUP($A3,Sheet1!$A$7:$G$224,5,0)>("3/"&AG$2)+0),VLOOKUP($A3,Sheet1!$A$7:$G$224,7,0),""))

    i figure the "3/" part needs to be 4/ now but still not sure

    You do need to just replace the 3 with a 4 as you said.. but you also need to have the names spelled exactly the same in both sheets..and have no extra spaces after the names...

    Vance Jacobson is spelled Jacobsen in Sheet1

    Benjamin Englehardt has an extra space in Sheet1
    Where there is a will there are many ways.
