    Index and Vlookup?

    Hi all
    How can i get this:
    - -- --- INPUT - -- ---
    1 A I III 3 C III
    2 B II
    3 C III
    4 D VI
    5 E VI

Meaning no matter from which column the input comes from I would get the Whole row.
    Tnx ahead,
    R

Hi Rhalio, welcome to the forum. You're going to have to provide a bit more detail I think, as I for one have NO clue what you're asking.

It may just be easier to upload a sample file and show the Before and After of your data, and why it changed.

    Re: Index and Vlookup?

    Hi again,
Tnx a lot for that file but what i meant was to have only one input cell (E2) in which i will be able to put any symbol (e.g - A,IV,3) from any cell and get the Match by correct order as column title.
What do you think? Any idea?

    Re: Index and Vlookup?

    I'm back with a question
Could it be that on more complex tables this formula doesn't work.
let say having 6 Columns & 34 Rows.
I get:"You've entered too many arguments for this function"
    (see following attachment)

    Re: Index and Vlookup?

As you can guess ... it cannot be an issue related to "range increased" ...
