Formula to Calculate Age based on date of birth

I need a formula to calculate age today based on a person's date of birth. I used to know this but I have not used it for awhile. Please help if you can.

    Good evening Squint

Simply enough, if you were to put the person's DoB in A1, and the formula =NOW() in B1, then =B1-A1 will give you the answer - just remember to format the cell as a number - it may well default to a date.

To put the age in more human friendly form, use the DATEDIF function, a tutorial of which you can find here.

Thanks dominicb! That worked great. Is there a way I am now suposed to flag this as solved? I have not been on in quite awhile and I see some are flagged as solved.

Re: Formula to Calculate Age based on date of birth

Thank you dominicb for the info on how to calculate DOB to age! However, the link you posted regarding how to use the DATEDIF Function does not work properly and will not show any information . Would you be able to explain to me on this forum how to properly use the DATEDIF Function, in conjunction with the =NOW() formula? or would you happen to have another site to refer me to so i can learn how to use it? Any information is greatly appreciated and thank you for the help!
