    Smile Distributing Cost

    Hi Everyone,

I need help with the attached a spreadsheet where I am trying to distribute the daily cost of each employee depending on the amount of hours they worked each day in columns V through AB. However I have a balance left over for each employee. For the 1st employee I have a balance of $168.75 and for the 2nd employee I have a balance of $94.50 left over. The formulas in columns V through AB don't seem to be correct. Can someone please help me? Thanks.

    Re: Distributing Cost

Your calculations are inconsistent, eg DT calculation re: I6 (double counting etc...)

Might be best to outline the rules for OT & DT.

You should find you can simplify the formulae but first we need a better understanding of the underlying logic you wish to apply as we can not presently determine this (with confidence) from the existing formulae.

    Re: Distributing Cost

Maybe as attached. Double time is calculated as hours exceeding 12 each day, plus hours over 8 on Saturday if working 7 days/week, minus any resulting duplication. You should check it.

Allocation is hours per days over total hours (Reg+OT+DT) times total cost.
