Question Adding Time to a date & time

    Hi
The attached spreadsheet refers. I want to add Time e.g 55:15 (cell B3) to a date and a time e.g. 21-08-2009 02:29:00 PM (cell A3). The formula should calculate the planned date and time of completion and display it in cell C3. The calculated date and time should be based on on a 5 day work week with working hours as displayed in Column J. Holidays as displayed in column I should not be consdired working time.
    Help would be appreciated
    Buks

Question Adding Time to a Date & Time (using workdays only)

I am using Excel 2007 and would like to add a time(in decimal e.g 3.5 hours) in I3 to a date time group (13-11-2009 14:57 PM) in A3. The anwer should exclude non-working time between 17:00 and 09:00, weekends and holidays. An 8 hour working day as displayed in U3 is to be used.

    The attached spreadsheet refers

The answer in the case described should therefor be 16-11-2009 10:27 AM and displayed in J3

I have constructed a formula that works but it is longwinded and slow down the performance of the worksheet. I will therefor appreciate it if you can provide a shorter/optimised formula that can deliver the same results.

Is this not merely a repetition of your earlier post ?

    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-work...-and-time.html

By all means bump the original but please do not repeat threads.

I will on this occasion going to merge the two as the inputs appear ever so slightly different (decimal rather than time etc...)

    Hi DonkeyOte
Quite correct - my apologies - I though the 1st one did not go through due to a power failure on my side. Please use the second one. How do I bump the first one?
    Best regards
    Buks
